In 1995, the Colonial Hills Christian Academy hired Rainwater Construction to build their new 36,000 square-foot facility when they moved locations from East Point, Georgia to Lithia Springs. The new buildings included fourteen classrooms, two science labs, a computer lab, and a 256-seat cafeteria. Originally founded in 1959, the school provided instruction to Georgia students until its closure in 2017. The property is now the home of D.E.L.T.A. Steam Academy, a tuition-free, K-8 public charter school.
“The Christian Academy construction is a great example of Rainwater’s long history serving the Georgia educational community. Even though the original institution has closed, the buildings continue to provide an educational space that is able to evolve with the community’s changing needs.”
– Maryna Hudgins, Rainwater Construction Vice President
